Hi. it is a possibility that it is an instrument cluster failure but I would suspect it is an ABS module failure. The ABS module sends the vehicle speed to the instrument cluster via a 2 wire network that goes to most electronic modules on the car, if this signal is not received then the mileage display reverts to dashes and the speedometer qYKeeen.
